A Fast and Intuitive Approach to Creating Complex Sci-fi Mechanical Models

What you'll learn:
Become exposed to what's possible with Substance Modeler
Create complex hard-surface geometry with effortless speed
Understand the thought process behind designing robot characters
Learn specific tools and features that work well for hard-surface modeling
Requirements:
Some familiarity with the interface is recommended but not required.
Description:
Wanna learn an approach to 3D art that's easy and accessible? Check out Substance Modeler, a more intuitive way of creating stunning 3D designs without the hassle of technical modeling that comes with traditional modeling tools like Blender or Maya. It's a tool that let's you feel like you're sketching, but in 3D.In this course, I'll be walking you through my process of modeling a robot in real-time. I'll show you how to whip up complex geometry quickly without getting bogged down by topology, n-gons, edge flow, and subdivision smoothing. It's not about precision modeling, but getting your ideas onto the screen as quickly and effortlessly as possible. The course contains periodic and relevant (but not constant) commentary of my thought process and on-the-fly decision making for designing cool robot characters. The goal of this course is to show you what kind of amazing things you can make with Substance Modeler. For an in-depth breakdown of all the buttons, features, and functionality of the program, I highly recommend the official Adobe Substance 3D YouTube channel. This course is a not an introductory primer for Substance Modeler, but should be easy enough to follow once you're somewhat familiar with the interface.
Who this course is for:
3D artists interested seeing what Substance Modeler is capable of.
Concept artists looking for a tool that allows them to rapidly design in 3D.
