Description
This is a comprehensive course for anyone considering teaching abroad. Information is provided to help you make the decision if you're not sure whether it's for you. There is practical advice on qualifications you'll need, where to look for jobs and the application process. Once you've secured a job, you'll need to know what kinds of perks are on offer in an expat package, these could be accommodation, paid visa, paid medical insurance and flights. You'll have questions such as 'can I take my spouse and family?' 'How are international schools different from those at home?' and 'How do I choose a city and what's it like to live there?' Use the link to the Padlet for links to websites which will provide a huge amount of relevant information. You'll find out here what to pack and luggage allowances. Once you arrive in the country it can be daunting, so I've provided information on what to expect in your accommodation, your new city and your new school. Lastly there are issues to consider such as your trailing spouse and family, foreign travel, socialising and tax. I hope you're able to make the leap into a new life of teaching abroad because it's an awesome life. This course is designed to give you the confidence and the 'final push' to do it!
