The Grateful Dead's first tour outside of North America was immortalized on 'Europe '72', a triple live album that distilled peak moments from the 22 shows the band played in six countries for thousands of Europeans. It took place on April 7, 1972, at Wembley Empire Pool in London. This 2CD 50th anniversary remastered edition was mastered by Grammy award winning engineer David Glasser with restored audio by Plangent Processes.

These concerts and this tour, 50 years later, are still considered one of the highest of high points in the Grateful Dead's performing career. In an era when a double album was rare enough, the Dead outdid even their own lofty standards by producing a 3 LP masterpiece that to this day is considered one of the finest livealbums ever produced. Remastered from the original analogtapes, the album has never sounded better.
