Can Someone Give Me Some Info Please avatar not showing and it is not to Big :)

hi i'm a newbie here just registered for now :)
but when i uploaded my avatar 80 x 60 px then it do not show ...
can some one please tell me why ???
or do it need to be approve from a moderator / admin ...
